I like most kinds of movies. Even if I see a trailer that I think I won’t like, most of the time if I watch the movie I end up liking it. But for the most part I don’t like westerns (although I did like the 2007 adaptation of 3:10 to Yuma with Christian Bale and Russell Crowe) and slapstick comedies (like Dumb and Dumber). I seem to gravitate towards psychological thrillers/mysteries (like Inception).
My top 5 movies (in alphabetical order)
- About a Boy
- Donnie Darko
- Garden State
I love all kinds of movies. Especially comedies! Light, fun movies are always the ticket and I love romantic comedies and dark comedies and dumb comedies. But I can’t watch Horror. Only because my imagination will run wild if I try to watch scary movies, so I try my best to stay away. I’m also not much of a fan for gore or violence but I can watch it if the movie is good enough. When it comes to my favorite movies…well, for me it boils down to which movies will stand the test of time. Which movies over the years have I always loved unfailingly and will continue to watch no matter what? What movies I will love each time I watch them as much as I did the first time?
So for me, these are my top five favorite movies, in alphabetical order!
- Almost Famous
- Say Anything
- Singing In The Rain
I’ve always just liked to watch movies. I’ll start in the middle of one sometimes just to see if I can catch up without having to watch from the beginning. I usually end up renting it to see it all in one piece.
When we joined Netflix I was very happy, because I could rate movies and Netflix would choose movies for me. The only category of movies I really don’t like is old westerns or old classics. Mainly anything in black and white except Clerks, which was hilarious by the way.
My faves would be comedies, war movies, sport movies, sci-fi and detective drama (not sure if this is a category or not)
